About Purposa Health
Purposa Health was founded on a simple conviction: the AI tools shaping drug development must be credible for the regulatory decisions they inform — and no AI tool is credible if it can't perform reliably for every patient population a product is meant to treat. Purposa exists to verify that credibility, so no population is left behind by the science.
Meet Our Founder
Staci Hargraves is the Founder and CEO of Purposa Health. A pharmaceutical executive with 25+ years of experience across Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Regeneron, and PPD/Thermo Fisher, Staci has spent her career at the intersection of R&D strategy, clinical operations, and transformation.
She holds a Fordham Executive MBA and a Stanford Director's College credential, and has been a leading voice on AI's impact on drug development and equitable AI performance across patient populations. Staci holds executive credentials from Harvard University in AI and Agentic Systems, which informed the development of the Purposa Health Audit Framework™. Staci initiated the community-pharma trust models that define community engagement in the industry today — and founded Purposa Health to complete what she started: ensuring no patient population is left out of the adoption of AI.
Independent by Design
Purposa Health is an independent auditor. We don't build the AI tools we assess, and we don't sell the datasets we audit against. That independence is the foundation of a credible audit — and the reason our findings hold up under regulatory and legal scrutiny. When we tell you an AI tool performs reliably across the populations your product will treat, there's no product of our own riding on the answer.
Why Now
AI tools are already embedded in drug development — and under the FDA's Good AI Practice framework, any tool supporting a regulatory decision must demonstrate credibility for its context of use. Tools built on data that doesn't represent the full patient population can't meet that standard, creating gaps that surface as submission risk and, ultimately, in patient outcomes. Closing those gaps takes an independent partner with the insider credibility to name the problem, the regulatory rigor to measure it, and the operational expertise to fix it. That is Purposa Health.
